Utgift stores everything on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your financial data. There is no account, no server for your data, and no one else sees your numbers.
None. All transactions, categories, settings, and currency preferences are stored exclusively in local storage on your device using MMKV — a fast, encrypted key-value store. This data never leaves your device through Utgift.
On launch, Utgift fetches a JSON file of current exchange rates from api.utgift.com. This request contains no personal data — it is equivalent to loading a public webpage. The rates are cached on your device so the app works fully offline.
Utgift uses RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and Apple App Store to process payments. When you subscribe, your billing information is handled exclusively by Apple — Utgift never sees your payment details. RevenueCat receives anonymised entitlement data (whether you have an active subscription) and operates under its own privacy policy.
The export feature creates a .utgift file on your device that you can share wherever you choose (Files app, email, iCloud Drive, etc.). Utgift does not upload or transmit this file — sharing is done through your device's standard share sheet, entirely under your control.
This website (utgift.com) uses Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation enabled. We track page views and referral sources to understand how people find us — no personal data is shared with third parties for advertising.
Utgift does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app contains no user accounts and stores no personal data, making it safe for all ages.
If we change how data is handled, we will update this page and note the date at the top. Significant changes will be noted in the App Store release notes.
